Grand Hotel Minerva’s 97 Rooms and Suites have been renowed by Architect Piera Tempesti Benelli who mixed materials and colors to make the Rooms warm, inviting, comfortable and relaxing. All the Rooms and Suites have wooden floors, soft colors on walls holding works by contemporary artists chosen from Florence and Pietrasanta’s leading art galleries, and the textiles are made by local artisans like the Antico Setificio Fiorentino, a real tribute to Florence and Tuscany.
The Premium Rooms can offer an exclusive view over the Piazza and the façade of the Church of Santa Maria Novella.
The Deluxe Junior Suites from 30m2 feature great views over the Cloister of Santa Maria Novella or the Piazza and are characterized by wooden floors, a living corner with sofa or armchair and the possibility to have a Juliet balcony.
The Suites are made up of sophisticated featuring spacious rooms (from 40m2) with a luxurious and contemporary design. A door separates the living area, with sofa bed, from the bedroom. Their sumptuous marble bathrooms have a bathtub. All Suites afford amazing views over the Piazza and the façade of the Church of Santa Maria Novella.
The Private Floor is an exclusive and luxury accommodation on the whole fourth floor of the hotel, the Cloister side. This is one of the most scenic floors thanks to its superior rooms — some with lovely small balconies — affording an exclusive view of the facade and the cloisters of the church of Santa Maria Novella.
Bar and Restaurants:
The Bistrot La Buona Novella with the chef Tommaso Calonaci has taken some classic dishes from Florentine and Mediterranean traditions and reworked them with a contemporary twist. The use of local, seasonal ingredients make sure that the food is fresh and genuine, in order to enjoy the best of what nature and this land have to offer.
From April to October “La Buona Novella” extends outdoors onto its elegant, inviting “Al Fresco” terrace. The guests lunch and dine in one of Florence’s finest piazzas. The culinary delights of the chef, the glow of the candles, the view of the façade of the Santa Maria Novella church, and the sight of Brunelleschi’s Duomo come together create a dazzling experience delighting all senses.
At the Bistrot’s Bar you can enjoy coffee, cappuccino, sodas, snacks, aperitifs, and cocktails. For snacks, choose among healthful delicious salads, sandwiches or local versions of international dishes like Chianina hamburgers or veggie burgers. From May to September the Bar expands when the rooftop terrace with its spectacular pool is open.
