COUNTRYHOUSE VILLA DORATA

Nested on the gently rolling hills of Noto, in the midst of the enchanting south-oriental Sicilian countryside, between the baroque city and the sea, Country House Villadorata, our charming summer residence sits on an organic farm extending over an area of more than 20 hectares planted with hundred-year-old olive trees, almond trees,citrus and vineyards cultivated according to biodynamic methods. Originally a winepress dating the 18th century, its renovation was carefully studied to merge in the nature while offering the traveler a resolutely contemporary experience with a “vintage” touch for the choice of furniture, the result being luxury, elegant, timeless and mostly peaceful.
Guest Rooms and Suites:
Ulivo residence, about 170 meters from the Palmento, is a one-room suite (37 square meters), ideal for lovers of absolute privacy. It has its own private swimming pool of 12 x 3 meters (once used for irrigation purposes), now entirely faced in natural stones.
All our rooms are quiet, tasteful, and minimal, with careful attention to finishing and details. All are appointed with designer furnishings; walnut, elm, or European oak furniture; natural fabrics; and wonderful vintage lamps.
The Palmento in the main courtyard, began as a nineteenth-century olive mill. Now beautifully transformed, it offers three deluxe rooms (about 36 meters square), each with its own veranda, looking out over a jasmine-filled terrace and a wonderful, large (150-meter square) swimming pool faced with crystalline-coloured natural stones, embellishing the garden in all seasons and one superior plus room accessible from a rear shared balcony (42 meters square) composed with two separate rooms and a bathroom.
The Bouganville Residence (95 meters from the main courtyard,) is reached by a walkway that leads through a grove of beautiful olive, almond and fruit trees.
Originally a small building for agricultural workers, it offers three deluxe rooms (30 meters square) each with its own veranda on the ground floor, and one deluxe room (about 25 meters square) on the first floor with a small terrace, all facing onto an organic garden and affording stunning views of the surrounding hills graced with Mediterranean vegetation.

Orti di Villadorata Restaurant, appealing for its ability to create a mundane atmosphere with its rare position, offers its guests simple traditional dishes that our exceptional climate together with the unrivalled virtues of our land praise to a greater extent than elsewhere. Indeed, (the excellence) superiority of our cuisine is not only merit to our chef’s talent but also to nature’s great generosity.
The menu was created with the sole purpose of proposing our guests, dishes anchored in the solid tradition of our territory in a contemporary, rigorous and personal interpretation. We wanted to be tied to a more immediate food dimension based on ancestral knowhow, seasons and care for raw materials. Halfway between producer and consumer, we decided to remaintruthful to the values of who farms and fishes to earn a living.
